Software Engineer (El Segundo, CA)

Job Description:
We are seeking a talented, creative engineer to work with a small team to design and develop features and functionality, write API's, make performance, scalability and maintainability improvements and play a very active role in the implementation of an exciting social media platform.

We are looking for a software engineer with strong hands on programming experience in Java and J2EE for our El Segundo, CA office.

Summary of Job Requirements:
  • Designing and developing complex products and services on schedule
  • Participating in the software development lifecycle from requirements gathering to product launch
  • Working with customers and other departments to specify project requirements
Required Skills:
  • 3+ years experience in software programming and engineering
  • 2+ years experience in Java and J2EE related technologies, preferably JSP, Servlets, JDBC (JDO) and Tag libraries, e.g. JSTL/EL
  • 1+ years experience with SQL, preferably MySQL
  • Experience with WAP and other mobile technologies
  • Experience with the full development lifecycle of mobile phone and Web content applications
  • Experience using design patterns in developing systems
  • Experience with open source and Java technologies like Spring, Struts, Hibernate and Log4j
  • Experience with Web technologies such as HTTP, HTML, XHTML, CSS, JavaScipt and AJAX
  • Detail focused and well organized
  • Highly motivated, flexible and self-directed; Able to manage multiple projects
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently, making appropriate decisions and seeking input when needed
  • Comfortable in a geographically dispersed work team

Software QA Engineer (Web/Mobile)

Job Description:
We are currently looking for a well experienced, proven QA Engineer to conduct and analyze testing of our community/Web application on both the web and mobile platforms. Prior consumer mobile applications (such as games, community applications) testing is a requirement.

Summary of Job Requirements:
  • You will be responsible for testing on the web, on WAP and as a downloadable mobile application.
  • You will have proven ability to develop detailed test plans and execute test plans.
  • You will have previous experience doing on handset testing.
  • You have excellent attention to detail and the ability not only to report bugs, but to explore possible remedies as well.
  • You are highly reliable and take pride in making sure the product is BUG FREE always.
  • You will diagnose initial debugging and conduct regression tests.
  • Comfortable writing API test cases to aid in regression testing, prefer automation.
  • You will document and process the logging and tracking of bugs in our tracking system.
  • You will plan, organize and perform QA on the server side of the Web and Wireless products.
Required Skills:
  • Detailed understanding of mobile applications and web applications.
  • Prior testing experience of consumer applications built in J2ME, BREW, WAP, XHMTL, WML
  • Proficiency with JUnit/Perl/Python/JMeter
  • Prior track record of delivering bug-free applications to market on time is a requirement.
  • Strong web experience using Internet Explorer, Firefox, Netscape, Safari and Opera
  • Comfortable with automated testing tools (Winrunner, SilkTest, Visual Test, Quick Test professional) for web applications
  • Strong API level testing for Regression testing
  • General understanding of QA methodologies: creation and management of test scripts and test plans
  • General understanding of source / version control systems (VSS, CVS, Clearcase)
  • Prior experience getting applications passed through outside testing labs such as NSTL, True North, and Java Certified is a strong plus
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Preferred Skills / Experience:
  • Proficient in testing the UNIX/LINUX/ server environment
  • Knowledge of variety of mobile devices (cell phones)
  • Knowledge of network / web architecture (web servers, app servers)
  • Experience with BREW / J2ME coding/development is a plus
  • Proficiency with XHTML, XML and/or PHP is a plus

Mobile Test Engineer Intern

Job Description
:
We're currently looking for several sharp and dynamic students for a part time paid internship doing quality assurance on our popular enterprise applications. Hours are very flexible with an opportunity to learn in a fun start-up environment. The internship will be approximately 8 weeks long. You'll have the chance to get work with a talented group using industry tools and best practices.
