Mobile Application Provider Zapptrio
Acquisition Expands Company's Existing Mobile Entertainment and Community- Building Offerings While Adding Mobile LBS Technologies Pleasanton, CA - May 2nd, 2006 - FunMobility, a leading provider of Mobile Entertainment . Lifestyle, announced the acquisition of Zapptrio, Inc., the Silicon Valley, Calif.-based wireless developer of mobile location-based services (LBS), gaming applications, wallpapers and ringtones. The move solidifies FunMail's position among wireless carriers as a premium provider of unique community-building features for mobile phone subscribers, and expands the company's entertainment and information-based products and services. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. These applications allow carriers to transform properly outfitted mobile phones into LBS navigation tools. In addition, the company will add more than 1,200 screen images and more than 3,000 songs and sounds to its already substantial catalog of wallpaper designs and ringtones through Zapptrio's MyScreenz™ and MyTonz™ applications.
